On June 30, 2006, Alex and his new, friend Theo, from Austria, entered
Tokyo via the Cuho Expressway, stopping in a suburb of Tokyo known as
Wakisheidan (Wako City). They’re in a nice hotel across from the Wako
Train Station with assorted restaurants nearby and plenty of shops. They
have been checking on freight transports for their motorcycles, but it seems
Alex’s Transalp does not qualify for United States EPA guidelines and the
red tape would delay his arrival in Surrey, Vancouver for the Blue Knights
International Convention, which we all know Iris would not handle very
well.
They will be going into Downtown Tokyo on Sunday to find other Honda
Dealers, and the highest bid wins the sale of the motorcycle. Alex will then
fly to Seattle to buy another motorcycle to finish the tour after the
Convention.
