The beginning of the adventure! Alex Ramirez flew into the UK and was
collected from Heathrow by England 5's Elliotts. Arriving as he did, on our
northern club night, he somehow found the energy to come along and present
some World Tour coins to members of the chapter present. He will be
buying his bike here in Manchester, and looking around the North West and
Wales before taking in Scotland, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Croatia, Russia,
China and Canada. It appears Alex is a man who doesn't get jetlagged! He
is being hosted by Pete 'The Auld One' Wardle and will be touring the North
West with us for a week and joining the chapter for dinner before being
handed over to England 8's Al Morris for trips to Windsor and Walworth.
Great to see you Alex, and we hope we did everything we could to make this
work for you. Also present for this first night of the tour were Al Kinsey,
President of England 1, and Danny Kay, President of Wales 1.

A snapshot from the English dinner at the Cow and Calf. Diners had black
pudding tower, a roast beef dinner, and either spotted dick, which Trevor
Heywood of England 1 denied vehemently.... or jam roly poly!

roughly halfway between the two chapters. Chunky Eng VI was also there to join in
the transfer and to meet Alex. Eng V and Eng I have done a superb job on looking
after Alex for a whole week and sorting him out with everything.....well done.
Alex had two media press interviews this afternoon one with the 'The Hinckley
Times' and 'The Leicester Mercury' they interviewed him and took some photos.
The local radio station 'Fosseway Radio' ran regulary features at every news bulletin
informing everyone of his world tour and the fact that he is being hosted in the UK
by various chapters. Alex also met the Deputy Chief Constable Mr Lindley for
another media session. The chapter then treated Alex to a superb carvery meal at a
local restaurant before returning him to our 'club house' for a few drinks.
