The quality of the IPJ jacket is superb, even the small zip off neck cover came in
handy in England’s cold damp weather, keeping the breeze into my neck
acceptable and comfortable. The IPJ outer shell withstood the bone chilling cold of
Wales’ rainy weather to an altitude of over 1300 ft of Horseshoe Pass. The fitting
of the jacket is flexible enough to make it feel custom, while leaving room for a
sweatshirt underneath, or my vest on the outside. The IPJ needed no break in
period, once adjusted, it felt natural and impeded no arm or waist movement getting
on or off. Engaging the trip mechanism is easier than disengaging, which requires
some manual dexterity. I’m thinking about switching to a small dog’s leash catch
with a thumb activated spring loaded lip to grab or release the lock down cable.
